BK Precision 9110/9111 Setup Questions

I just received a BK Precision 9111 power supply, looks good so far.  I think it's pretty nice for the relatively low cost.

There's an item in the setup menu that's not in the user manual.  Does anyone know what the P_ON setting does?

Also wondering about the "Add" setting.  The manual says it's for factory use only and can be ignored.  Anyone know what it does?

I have the 9110, but don't see the P_ON setting, just what's in the manual: OVP, OCP, BEEP, ADD, GRP.

ADD stands for address I think.  It's asking for which key you want to store the displayed voltage/current setting on.  GRP stands for group and you can have many different groups of keys with stored voltage/current values.  I think it's just as easy to dial in whatever voltage/current you need rather than use the save/recall memories.

Perhaps the P_ON is a 9111 (only) setting to indicate if the output show be enabled at power on, just a guess.

Thanks for the responses.  It's a pretty obscure thing so I'd actually be surprised if anyone knew what it does.  The P_ON menu item has an on and off option and I can't see any difference with it set either way.  Probably just another factory use thing.

I checked out the supply using my scope with a load and it looks pretty good, no turn off/on transients I can see that would give me any trouble.  I can see some switching noise, about 10mV worth with a light load so the output is not as clean as a linear supply, but shouldn't be a problem.  It does take a tenth of a second or two to ramp up when enabling the output, but again I don't think it will be a problem.  I'm pretty happy with it so far.

The one I replaced is a cheap Chinese version of that BK supply, but it's linear.  That one has a nasty transient I have to watch out for when turning on the main power switch.  Was having some trouble with the buttons failing to respond correctly, took the PCB out that carries the switches and gave it a cleaning.  Think there was some dirt or a flakey switch in there, it's working again so I'll use it as a secondary.  Though I really liked the way the user interface works on that cheapo one, the BK supply actually is a bit odd the way the user interface works, but it's not a problem or anything.  The cheapo I've been using for some time now is this one; https://www.eevblog.com/forum/reviews/vantek-dps-3305p-32v5a160w-programmable-dc-power-supply/  It's actually served me well and when it's working right it's actually a really nice unit.  Though I did change out the fan for one that's a lot quieter.
