Siglent Bench DMMs SDM3065X, SDM3055 and SDM3045X

I had a mishap with my SDM3045X the other day and with the help of some folks over on the Repair message board I'm trying to save it. The biggest problem right now is no reading on the OHMS function.

It was suggested I put a link here to my thread on the Repair board and ask for help. I'm a newbie here so I hope I'm doing that correctly.

Cut the newbie some slack, posting pics on EEVblog is a little daunting for newcomers.
There's a good post with a link to a teardown with any # of excellent photos.

It's not nearly as good as TestController, but still nice that you can use it with your 3055. The rest of the series still needs an unavailable firmware upgrade to use the new app.

Can I ask what version of NIVISA you have installed for the connectivity support ?
Full version or only the NIVISA Runtime package ?

NI-VISA comes with a utility called VISA Interactive Control (VISAIC) as in your screenshot which implies a full NIVISA install is required.
Is that what you have ?

It matters as the full install is 500+MB and not everyone needs that bloat on their PC when previously all Siglent Easy*** SW only required the connectivity drivers from NIVISA Runtime, a much more friendly but still bloated ~120MB install.

He probably just installed the full package, which is not required. I have EasyDMM-X installed, and it communicates fine with only the driver package installed. Granted, it tells me the device is the wrong version because it needs newer firmware. If the VISA drivers didn't work, it wouldn't get that far.
