Maybe my search was wrong, but I didn’t see to many talk about SignalVu, where to me, it seems a great tool when connected to Tek’s USB spectrum analyzers. License comes for free (basic version).

I am using an XP based Agilent MXA, and I am happy it produces a (some sort of) spectrogram and has accuracy. But using SignalVu seems so much more modern to me.

I am working with 2-30MHz baseband OFDM (powerline comms). Intermittent signals all the time. Having colored charts seems such an improvement.

Or….. could I build similar charts using labview if I feed it with 250M IQ samples per sec? The latter was my plan actually. Long shot, but again, an MXA is not to pleasant to work with.

Thanks

Example of what I am working with now:

Horizontal lines are small bursts every 40ms. But I cannot measure anything on the spectrogram. Hence wish to go to something more modern.
