Flir CM55 Teardown
« on: October 20, 2019, 07:22:19 pm »
I was playing around with a home-brew current amplifier and coils with a CM55 current probe from Flir and couldn't stop myself from taking a little peak inside.

This is a 3000A Rogowski style current probe, with bluetooth wireless comms and inrush monitoring function.

Total of 7 self tapping screws needed to be removed to get into it, three inside the battery compartment and two hidden behind one of the labels. Anyone would think they didn't want you to look inside it....

Few basic pictures to get you started with, closeups of the board to follow in next post.
