Title: Fluke 199 without battery

Hi,

I am in the process of trying to repair a broken fluke 199. I currently doesn't have a battery, and I am trying to fix a problem where the device doesn't start. I have been googling around to see if a fluke 199 works without battery and only supplied via the charger, but haven't really gotten a clear answer to this.

Does the Fluke 199 start without a battery using only a external supply? If it doesn't what kind behavior can be observed?
