Fluke 199B vs 199C vs 190-202 differences
« on: August 15, 2023, 10:29:45 am »
Hello,

What are functionality differences between 3 series/generations of Fluke scopemeters?  :-//
Lets presume we are speaking about same level of scope with 2 channel, 200Mhz and 2.5GS/s.
As they are released in 20 year span and I read that some cannot be even upgraded to latest firmware as mentioned by forum members.

B Series has a black and white screen, C series is in color, 190 Series II is available with 2+DVM or 4 channels, has more memory and integrates some features of the prior Medical series devices, Series III is the same as Series II with a higher resolution screen and wifi support. Only the last still receives firmware updates. It is basically impossible to buy used.

Fluke 199B:
The Fluke 199B is an older model and is part of the Fluke ScopeMeter series. It's a handheld, portable oscilloscope with a built-in multimeter and recorder. Some key features of the 199B might include:

  • 200 MHz bandwidth.
  • Dual-channel capability.
  • Up to 2.5 GS/s (gigasamples per second) sampling rate.
  • Limited waveform capture and analysis capabilities compared to more advanced models.
Fluke 199C:
The Fluke 199C is another model in the ScopeMeter series, designed to provide better performance and additional features compared to the 199B. Some key features of the 199C might include:
  • Improved bandwidth (higher than 199B).
  • Dual-channel capability.
  • Faster sampling rate.
  • More advanced signal analysis capabilities.
  • Enhanced screen and user interface.
  • Likely improvements in battery life and ruggedness.
Fluke 190-202:
The Fluke 190-202 is part of the Fluke ScopeMeter 190 Series II. This series represents a more modern and capable line of handheld oscilloscopes. Some key features of the 190-202 might include:

  • 200 MHz bandwidth.
  • Dual-channel capability.
  • Higher sampling rate compared to previous models.
  • More advanced waveform analysis and measurement capabilities.
  • Larger and higher-resolution display.
  • Enhanced battery life and durability.
  • Likely additional connectivity options.

Hello! I wanted to buy myself a Fluke 199C.
Tell me, I'm looking at this option:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/285549701043
What problems can there be when purchasing a used appliance? What should I pay attention to, how to choose a good device?

Following the ebay link, the device display shows the message:
"With this ScopeMeter we offer you a free bonus" what does this mean?

For some reason, the other option requires calibration, is it difficult to do?
