Fluke 287 289 Firmware update version 1.16 now posted
ElektroQuark:
In the 1.16 download page there is this text "This upgrade includes..." (complete bellow), so I assumed it is the 1.16 changelod. If it isn't, sorry. :-[

This upgrade includes these new or expanded capabilities:
* Corrected an issue where recording sessions could be interrupted or terminated when using the record function in combination with ambient conditions of bright sunlight or other sources of bright light, when used without the IR cable attached.
* Zoom on trend provide unprecedented ability to view analyz TrendCapture data; see detail at X5 magnification.
* Rotary switch memory when switching positions between AC or DC A/mA and uA.
* Adjustable recording and auto hold thresholds, specify a percentage change in the readings that begins a new event.
* Logging function with expanded memory for unattended monitoring of signals over time. Using on-board TrendCapture users can graphically review logged readings without needing a PC. Store up to 15,000 recorded events.
* Simplified Record screen when setting up recording.
* New and improved Trend View graph plot. This new plot algorithm plots the minimum, maximum, and sample point for each sample interval record and event record.
* Allows 5,000 to 15,000 recorded events for each recording session (events are different than sample intervals).
* Improves the speed of plotting the trend graph in Trend View.
* Added fast scrolling through trend data. Useful when viewing trends with large number of events and interval samples.
* Resolution of plotting on x-axis can now go down to 1/100th of a second.
* Improved algorithm for generation of Y axis labels.
* Meter Information screen reports recording memory available.
* Save Names can be changed using FlukeView Forms.
* Added Restart softkey in Min/Max and Peak Min/Max.
* Sticky dB+REL now works for dB+Hz.
* Shortened time needed to upload recorded data into FlukeView Forms.
* Settings of Duration and Sample Interval in Recording setup screen is remembered through power off.
* Last used Saved Name is remember through power off.
* Updated information appears when the Info button is pressed.
* Reduced time needed for calibration.____________________________________________

All but the bright light fix are already in 1.10 and later revisions, it's only quite early meters that won't already have those changes included.

That may be true, but when I bought my 289 brand new from Amazon (shipped and sold by) last month, it came with version 1.14 which I thought was weird too since the first thing I did was hop on the Fluke website and check for a firmware update when I got it only to find I had a later version already.
ElektroQuark:
When I bought mines, bouth came with 1.00
They where upgraded to 1.10 and I checked periodically, never found any upgrade above 1.1 till now.

There wasnt. At least not a publicly released one. But that doesnt mean Fluke hadnt been making changes to the firmware on newer released units. Dang, now I wish I would have taken a screen shot to prove it to you guys. Not that it matters, but yea.
I def wasnt alone though. Here is an older thread talking about others having firmware version newer than the 1.1 Fluke showed on their website forever: LINK
