| FLUKE 289 all measurements are wrong |
| (1/2) > >> |
| czullo:
No matter what mode of measurement I choose, be it voltage or current, resistance or even temperature, all measurements are heavily skewed and unstable. Has anyone had a similar problem with this meter and knows how to fix it? I am the second owner so warranty repair is not likely to be an option. |

The two photos posted so far don't appear to show a problem in my opinion. Mine does the same thing in VAC mode if I'm near it with no leads connected. Do you have more examples of the issue but with test probes connected to something? |
| BeBuLamar:
If you don't have the probes connected or connected and not shorted together or connect to a voltage source then the display is normal. Also if you live in the USA you can still have the 289 repair under warranty even if you're the second owner. Fluke doesn't ask for proof of purchase when you send it in for service. |

What does it read when measuring current with no leads attached? |
