Fluke 289 service manual
« on: April 24, 2016, 05:53:38 am »
I was watching the eevblog Fluke 289 video (number 15 part 2). He say that he obtained the service manual for the 289. Is there anywhere where I can obtain it? A pdf preferred, but paper will do if it is reasonable.

I did see a link for pdf of service manual for Fluke 189 II here on the EEVblog forum. I don't remember at the moment in which thread. If you search for it, I'm sure you'll find it. Fluke renamed 189 II to 287.

Oh, that's good. Thanks.
Would there be any differences between the two? I know for example 77 and 177 are identical. 77 IV PCB even say 17x.
Mine is 287, so 187 could be identical?

I have both the 189 and 289 and they are vastly different. I don't think they can share the same service manual.

they are not the same  :palm:

187 and 189 are 50000 counts
the 87 IV and 89 IV  are mostly the same as 187 189, but it seems they had (87IV and 89IV) a bug in the 5v auto range,  slugginess  ??

287 289 are 60000 count  sorry  confused the thread  :palm:
the 187 II and 189 II  are mostly the same as 287 289

If i recall  ''cough''   the 189 II  is a 289 .... with an higher pcb and FW revision(s), same for the other models
