I had just purchased a fluke 8050a and it was said that the current is inop. Otherwise meter is fine. It hasn't shown up yet but hopefully it shows soon. Assuming that the current function is inop, do u guys have any idea where to start. Besides fuses of course.

The current circuitry is relatively simple. Once you've confirmed that the fuses are good, just use a DMM to check the shunts. The Diode bridge protection circuit would be the next candidate. All this assumes that the unit works in DCVs. Rarely switches can get fried. Anyway should be easy to fix.

90% chance a fuse is the problem in my experience.

I would think that also, but I'm completely shooting from the hip bec I don't actually have it in the bench yet. I'm eagerly awaiting its arrival.
