For those that have these Fluke 8840's and 8842's that do not have the A/C option, but are looking to get one, the following applies:
There are A/C option cards out there that will work with BOTH 8840 and 8842. They are marked "884X". NOTE THE "X".
On this card, you will see that there are two positions in which the resistors R836 and R837 can be positioned.
The upper position is for use in the 8842. The lower position for the 8840. The middle pad is used in both.
