Hello,
I have a Fluke 88V that used to work fine until I noticed the battery leaked. Cleaned it up, worked fine after that. Then a day later, the display will only show "Hi 2" all the time. I opened up the case again and nothing looks bad in there. What could be wrong with it?

The 88V will display "Hi 2" if you power it up with the "Hz %" button pressed. Perhaps the button is stuck down or the contact area is contaminated?

Thank you for your quick response. Let me open up the meter again, as I didn't notice anything odd last night.

Thank you J-R! You were right! Visibly there was nothing awry with the contact pads but I used a polymer eraser to clean the contacts and any of the thru-hole vias associated with the two contact pads and the meter now works again!
Thank you!

Glad to hear it's fixed!
