Title: Fluke Scopemeter 190 series 192 196 199 LCD repair - horizontal lines

Hi,

I have a Fluke monochrome scopemeter that has the common problem of horizontal lines on the LCD display.
I attempted the repair by warming the flexible conductive tape that connects the glass to the PCB. It worked for a while but then it went bad.

On eBay there is a vendor, joelfriend, selling a service to fix the problem.

Has anybody had any experience with this service? Does the 'fix' solve the problem or does it come back?

You need to buy the conductive ribbon below (Chinese call it zebra paper)，There is also a "T" type soldering iron tip that can be heated

You can only solve this fault completely by replacing it, the heating is not stable for a long time, because the conductive material has aged

You must use a vernier caliper to accurately measure the size of this flexible cable.
