Fluke transformer needed for 6060 series RF signal generator
« on: November 10, 2017, 07:25:53 am »
Hi All,
I was trying to repair a broken Fluke 6060A signal generator with no display. It turns out the filter cap for the 38v output from the transformer was shorted which causes the transformer overheat.  I isolated the transformer from the rest of the circuit and measured the secondary output voltages. All secondary output voltages are ok except the 38v output.  it only outputs 6.4v ac instead of 38v ac.  If I let the unit stay on, the transformer will heat up even with no load.  I just wonder if anyone here have a transformer available.  Any transformer from Fluke 6060A, 6060A/AN, 6060B, 6061A or similar would work.  Fluke's part# is 717959 or 774315. Thanks.

David
