RFL 912 Gaussmeter
« on: July 31, 2017, 12:50:55 pm »
Hi to everyone out there,

I'm searching for a complete manual for RFL 912 Gaussmeter. The only thing I found on the web is not complete.
Also I'm interested, if someone replaced the original fragile probes by something more modern and more robust. Please share your knowledge to this gear in here. Thanks.

What about this first hit on Google

http://web.mit.edu/8.13/8.13d/manuals/rfl-912-gaussmeter.pdf

Is this the correct one?
Who made this?
How old is it?

Somewhere I have an anus meter I used to check audio tape head magnetism, but it was a D'arsonval movement.

What information are you looking for?

Hall effect probes come in a wide variety of styles and measurement ranges. If you need a very thin one for probing loudspeaker gaps, they are going to be fragile and need looking after. The thicker you can go, the better off you are for robustness.
