All photos are broken,
I'm not saying we should kill all stupid people. I'm just saying that we should remove all product safety labels and let natural selection do its work.

All but one (the 5th) were still cached in my browser, so i took the liberty of copying them to an imgur album.

Here's the album link : http://imgur.com/a/HVjvU

You can download the set as processed/resized automatically by imgur by adding /zip to the url above or you can download the original size set (about 30megs) here: http://savedonthe.net/a/meter.zip

There's only a 49 page thread about this multimeter on this forum, how did you get to 130 posts without stumbling into it?

See  https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/uni-t-ut61e-multimeter-teardown-photos/

It's a very good multimeter for the money it costs.

There's a detailed 4 part review of the meter here, if the thread above doesn't satisfy you.. here's the 1st part:

Great meter, just keep an eye out for drift and don't hook it up to anything high energy.

The meter with the external Vref mod and thermistor/resistance in series it's stable to the last digit.
It's just a matter of watch the long tome drift, of the mod.
You can change the 2K (VR1) trumpet that drift 1% only from vibration, for one with 50Ohm, and get it more stable.

This is on my list of todo items. Not sure if I want to do the simple pot change or add in the external vref. Might add in the backlight hack as well. My meter is stable at the moment so I may hold off.

Check out this mod, for backlight and more.

With a MSP430G2211 and you've the code in there.

See the this topic for external Vref mod, https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/ut61e-drift-and-recalibration/ , and some research on the Ohm and Cap range to make it more accurate.
