HP 8591A add a Tracking Generator

I have a good working HP 8591A and a friend gave me all the parts to add the tracking Gen. my question is after adding everything will the firmware automatically recognize the option?

Did you tried installing the generator? It could be that the FW will automatically recognize the tracking generator once installed.

Yes, it is recognized automatically.

There should be a sticker with two calibration coefficients ("SLOPE" and "OFFSET") somewhere in the donor unit. Keep this in a safe place when you remove the tracking generator.
