Does anyone have a reasonably priced source for the 400ma @1000V fuses for the BM786? Even 600V would do me fine. It will never even see 600V. |

Daves shop ? https://www.eevblog.com/product/multimeter-fuse-pack/ |

They've been out of stock since I got my meter over a year ago. Plus the shipping form Oz to The Great White North kind of messes up the economics of the situation. |

Bel Fuse, sold by Mouser. https://www.mouser.com/datasheet/2/643/ds_cp_0adbx_series-1664157.pdf You might get the 600mA version just for the lower burden, I think it will still blow in time if you overload the meter. Or you could just put in a 500mA standard 3AG glass fuse, or even an MDL (slo-blo) if you want to minimize nuisance events. These have an interrupt rating of 10kA at 125VAC, so adequate unless you go in the panel or a 240V circuit. |

I have a 500 mA @ 250V glass fuse in there now. The meter may actually be used in my breaker panel at some point, but likely not to measure mA. Even still, it would be wise to have a better fuse in it. Thanks for teh link to Mouser. I'll put some on my next order. |
