Title: FY6900 issue
Post by: meridian on February 05, 2021, 03:04:21 pm
Hi,

I have an issue with my FY-6900.
The generated signals are not very cleans, see below...
I just turn on the FY-9600 and selected a wave

SIN

I flashed the firmware to 1.3 with success, but same thing

I opened it and I found the ground cable unsolder. I solded it, but without more success
At this time, I have no more idea

Always check the power supply first.

It looks more like the output of the signal generator isn't switched on. There is a button for that on the front panel.

I checked power supply :

+4.97v
+14.70v
-14.60v

I did a reset factory, and checked buttons on the front panel. All seems ok. Channel enabled and SIN or others waves set to On
I tested both outputs, same result

If both outputs are bad, look for something common to both.  Like a crack in the circuit board preventing power from reaching the output amplifiers.

I didn't see anything on the board.
I checked regulators 7905 and 7805.
Without schematics, I think it'll be difficult to find where is the problem.
