Hello,
Wanted to start this thread about this little known frequency counter - FC-2130 and its (more options) sibling FC-2130U.
I've purchased it from eBay recently, defective and I need help troubleshooting it/fixing it.
Wondering if someone had/has any experience with it, manuals, service manuals, schematics.
Attached are all the documents I was able to find about this.
One of the first things to trobleshoot was the power rails. It has only +5V and -5V power rails using 7809 and 7909 ICs.
The ripple was about 1V, which led me to replace the electrolitic capacitors before (1000uF/16V) and after (2200uF/16V) the power regulators.
Many thanks in advance.

Hello. I have one that I want to start using it. It has been stored until now. I have the manual but doesn't have a schematic. I can scan it if required.
I checked it with the GPSDO and is about 50 Hz off at 10 MHz so I intend to calibrate it. So, I am also after a service manual or at least a callibration procedure.

I tried to calibrate it but the clock unit was damaged or something as while trying to adjust it, frequency value jumped all over.
What I finally did was to buy one of those inexpensive OCXOs off ebay, installed it inside, routed the clock signal to it instead of to the original clock, calibrated the OCXO with the GPSDO an done, it works excellent and has a time base far more precise than required.
