Can someone recommend a good (and not too expensive for a hobbiyst) source for different kind of Adapters, cables...

try TME for simple cables, connectors, adapters, etc. In some cases a lot cheaper than Farnell, but delivery times are quite variable.

I'd buy these from Ebay if you are not in a hurry and price is a concern.

Well..what could go wrong with them..or better said....how much can be f**ked up in thsoe few millimeters that a Hobbyist can hurt (o;

I don't see the problem. I have lots of adapters and cables from Ebay / China. I have a stock of RG316 cables with BNC and SMA. RG316 is easy to work with and good to 1GHz; I cut these cables up regulary to avoid having to put a BNC or SMA connector on a cable. Over 1 GHz you'll need something better like RG223 but even those cables are relatively cheap on Ebay (but not so cheap that I like to cut these up).

Gigatronix are good for cables, I've not used their adapters but plenty available.

I built up my stash of these over many years by visiting radio rallies. Often the stall vendors will have recently bought gov/mil surplus rack based RF gear and they strip out the cables and adaptors and sell them individually.
This way you can buy old (but hardly used in terms of mating cycles) top quality cables and adaptors made by Suhner or similar.
I've also bought stuff like this on ebay but there is a risk that what arrives won't be genuine. But it's usually very easy to identify genuine connectors once you get them in your hands. The build quality and materials are a class apart from the chinese/fake stuff. So far I've had good results from ebay with only a few duffers.
My advice would be to avoid unbranded gear unless you are doing very basic stuff at home. eg if you are less concerned with reliability and measurement uncertainty up at high frequencies and your test gear doesn't have precision connectors that would otherwise need protecting from damage from cheapo connectors.

As I mentioned....I'm not keen to specific brands...although I've had bad experience with low-cost chinese 500MHz scope probes (o;
If someone can recommend an Ebay reseller here in Europe he had good experience with, I'm more than happy (for now ;o)

I can recommend: http://www.kabel-kusch.de/Adapter/adapter.htm (http://www.kabel-kusch.de/Adapter/adapter.htm)
I can not recommend: http://www.reichelt.de/BNC-PL-Adapter/2/index.html?&ACTION=2&LA=2&GROUPID=3196 (http://www.reichelt.de/BNC-PL-Adapter/2/index.html?&ACTION=2&LA=2&GROUPID=3196) , because I have received too much scrap from them.
