Help! Software for Maplin N56FU multimeter needed!
« on: May 04, 2016, 02:17:35 pm »
Hi Folks,

I've recently reformatted my PC and realised I've misplaced the driver CD for my Maplin N56FU Multimeter, would anyone have the driver CD or software available?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Kind Regards,

JP

Here is another thread on this same topic: https://www.eevblog.com/forum/projects/software-wanted-for-the-(rather-old)-maplin-n56fu-multimeter/

It looks like there is some conversation on http://www.thebits.info/general/n56fu-172.htm/comment-page-1 with a few download links. Be careful with random software downloads.

Apparently the USB->UART chip is a Silicon Labs CP210x. Drivers can be found on their website:

https://www.silabs.com/products/mcu/Pages/USBtoUARTBridgeVCPDrivers.aspx

The IC (FS9922-DMM4) is also used in the Uni-T UT61D, which is supported by sigrok, should you want an open source option:
