Fluke 111 spare parts
« on: May 13, 2020, 05:06:11 pm »
I have a few Fluke 111 multimeter to try and repair, the electronics are all good and calibrated but they all have broken or missing knobs, some also have a damaged switch contact wheel assembly.

I cant find any Fluke part numbering for the 110 / 111 / 112 multimeters does that mean they are throw-away units?

Any other models using the same parts where the Fluke P/N is available to order from them?

If Fluke still sells the parts, the Knob comes with the Top Case (and so do the Terminals).

You might be out of luck on that, hopefully not
and someone pops a few specific part numbers your way sooner than later,
and the separate bits are gathering dust in some dark scary deserted almost forgotten Fluke storage warehouse..

ok, that's a bit of a dream or wishful thinking  :horse:

but perhaps someone with a 3D printer can knock up those parts, without having to buy the entire Top Case assembly,
assuming 3D printers can whip up the tough plastic required of these moving parts,
and you would need some sort of programmed template..?   :-//

FYI I know just beyond zero about 3D printers, only info cobbled from questions asked at the local Jaycar electronics store,
and convinced I won't ever consider buying one,
but I noticed the plastic used looked like rolls of whipper snipper/line trimmer string, which I know first hand is tough stuff,

so I'll take my leave on that there, wishing you best of luck either way  :-+

Thanks for your answers, 3DP could be an option (un) fortunately it's a pit I haven't dropped into yet.

I've also considered making a mould from one of the broken ones I have then using that to make my own.

Anyone out here attempted similar madness?
How did you go about it?

See if other hobbyists in your city offer a 3DP service for $$$.  Some are 3D printing face shields for front line workers for free.
