Lecroy Wavesurfer 44MX vs WS3054

Apart from slight bandwidth and sampling difference, does one have an edge over the other? From what I’ve read both are Windows scopes based on the MAUI interface.
I’m not able to find any official info on the 44MX on Lecroy’s website and not familiar with their scopes brand, but I am familiar with their PCIe and network traffic analyzers which I’ve used at work.

The Wavesurfer 44MX is a full Windows scope that will likely perform better, although it sounds like its power supply is not the most reliable.

WS3000/SDS3000 is a 10+ year old collaboration with Siglent that we have never seen in the west other than as a LeCroy.

A few years back to address the lack of processing power and utilise the new Xilinx processors the updated WS3000Z was born and the LeCroy/Siglent marketing agreement continued.

I got my hands on a SDS3104 when visiting Siglent HQ in 2014 however the UI only offered a Chinese language option.

Make note there is also WS3000Z which is much newer refresh that is much faster and has some things improved..

For heaven's sake, hands off a WS3000 without Z....
Very slow, at least two nasty bugs still present, absolutely not recommended.
We had the WS3024, but it has since been replaced by a WS3024Z, which is much faster and doesn't have the bugs.
