Hacking the SDS2000X HD
Vladamir:
I just got my SDS2104X HD! As a student, I hope I can get some assistance on the proper operation of this beast of a scope from the many amazing people on this forum ;). I can post some pics, if people on this thread want to see what it looks like on my mini table.

Nice scope and it will be a good while before you exhaust its capabilities.
I have a few tricks/settings we change from factory before we ship these units out, but.....
Best you take general discussion to the SDS2000X HD thread:

Vladamir:
I would be grateful if you could teach me the tricks/settings that you change from factory! Anything to increase its capabilities like adding PA and other useful options would be greatly appreciated!

The option-bundle Siglent SDS2XHD-BND is still avaible for incredible 235€ (without tax) and includes:
Siglent SDS2000HD-FG
Siglent SDS2000HD-16LA
Siglent SPL2016 Logic Probes
Siglent SDS-2000HD-CANFD
Siglent SDS-2000HD-FlexRay
Siglent SDS-2000HD-IIS
Siglent SDS-2000HD-1553B
Siglent SDS-2000HD-SENT
Siglent SDS-2000HD-Manch
If you have just bought your scope, ask your dealer if you can buy the package later, you can say you forgot. ;)
Those who "upgraded" their scope back then wouldn't have done it if there had already been an offer like the current bundle.
Because if you can put down quite a lot of money to buy the scope, then you can also put down a tiny amount in comparison to legally upgrade everything (except for bandwidth).
You won't get instructions on how to hack the scope here, I can tell you that right now.
Actually, this thread can also be closed ( @Moderation ), as it will never fulfill its actual purpose due to this fact.
zrq:
Well, sometimes knowing a hack is possible is already very encouraging. This means there is no hardware limit or problematic lock down. For a user motivated enough to study the embedded system and reverse engineering tools like jadx and GHIDRA, he will be able to find a way to do the same hack. If you can't, then you are not motivated (or smart) enough.
