Hello to everybody. Thank you for this forum it has helped me a lot. I have a Hameg HM8012 which has problems. At first, after turning on and starting the procedure, it said OFF. Replacing the EEPROM as shown here solved everything. After powering up with the new EEPROM it showed CAL E and the display showed nonsense values. I tried to load the data from the original EEPROM and it worked. So I uploaded them to the new memory and turned on the device. The display showed CAL E again, but the multimeter went into measurement mode, the ranging relays clicked, but the instrument behaved strangely and measured the wrong readings. I suspect that the data in the old EEPROM is corrupted. Could one of you email me the .bin file from your multimeter? I would try uploading it to mine to verify the function even at the cost of inaccurate measurement.
Thank you for any new advice. Richard.
