I bought Hantek LCR meter from Banggoods.com and it came with latest 1833C Firmware 20230410AM. As the meter was not getting connected to the supplied software inWin11 , I uploaded the 20210615AM firmware file which is available with the Hantek web site. Now I want to go back to the 20230410AM firmware and I do not find it on the Hantek web site or anywhere on the web. Can any one please post the latest firmware so that I can download it and upgrade my LCR meter. After 2 days exploring now I found that LCR Meter connects to win 11 only by VISA drivers installed on PC. do not install the supplied virtual com drivers by STM on pc ,the meter does not communicate with this com driver 100% as it is looking for VISA command set. Drivers from Keysight https://www.keysight.com/us/en/lib/software-detail/computer-software/io-libraries-suite-downloads-2175637.html Keysight IO Libraries Suite 2023 Update 1 works with my setup. 73 VU2EHY |

sadly you have to communicate with Hantek on this matter and ask for the version you had ... there is some differences on the chineese site / english site .... ? |

I was reading through the manual, why does the manual say that the R reading uses AC of set frequency? Would that not be a Z reading? Does this meter do actual R(dc) measurements? If not then how could it determine actual R, or even actual XL ? The only way to get XL is to determine R(dc) and Z(f). Also, the manual gives no specs for accuracy / tolerance for R readings. Can anyone confirm how this meter actually works? |

So they even do not know what FW release is loaded. 2) did wrote to Hantek support, but not any answers... May one save the 20230410AM to a file and share  as may the open calibration sate gets that saved for ever. Hp |

There is no need for a VISA driver of any kind. The Hantek 1833 is an STM bootloader. Install the STM Cube Programmer software (to get the latest drivers). Next, plug the Hantek into USB, the device manager should show it as a COM device. This COM of 188x is apparenty 2400 baud, not 9600. Next, power up the Hantek into DFU mode (upper left key + power, hold until the beep, release and the bottom right button cycles red/green). The COM device should go away, an STM DFU device should show up under USB section. From here, I use dfu-util 0.9 to flash firmware to the device. Hantek writes firmware in the DfuSE format, but that's ok becaise dfu-util can read those files a-ok. Using dfu-util (many times named "dfu-util-static.exe" you do a "dfu-util-static.exe --list" and you should see 3 devices with same serial number. Next, I rename any downloaded firmware to "hantek.dfu" just for ease-of-use. Flash the firmware to the device "dfu-util-static.exe -a 0 -D ./hantek.dfu" Disconnect device from USB, it now has the firmware you just flashed to it. Where is the actual latest firmware from Hantek for the 1833? ******************************************* I still do not understand how the 1833C works, why does the Rs or Rp have a frequency associated with it? How do you measure Rdc ? |
