rodlaird:
mmm... mine just arrived; seems pretty sweet - but some English docs would be good. Streets ahead of my previous PC based AWG. Waiting on a TTL USB UART to arrive to try unlocking a bit more bandwidth...

Looking forward to hearing more from those further up the learning curve.

cheers from Oz.... 8)

I think I will get one of these for the high frequency counter BNC: http://www.digikey.ca/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail&itemSeq=149890915&uq=635355766482764648

Also, any ideas what chip needs to be populated to get the LAN working? I would assume the jack should have the magnetics in it already (I have on that I will try tonight) but I guess the PHY is missing or something similar.  I haven't found anything in a SOIC-16 package as of yet however.

idpromnut:
Ah ha!  If the board is just missing the magnetics, then I think I have found the part!  http://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/S553-5999-86-F/507-1468-1-ND/2108052

SMD Ethernet transformer, 16pin SOIC :D    I will check this out tonight and pull the trigger on the part if it looks good.

idpromnut:
And another thing… this looks like it will fit the ethernet jack footprint:  http://www.digikey.ca/scripts/DkSearch/dksus.dll?Detail&itemSeq=149894408&uq=635355783712798936

I will measure and verify this tonight.

Hi. Does anyone know what the output protection is like on this piece of equipment?
