Has anyone else gotten shrill noise/whine on their Siglent SDS1104X-E?

Hi Everyone,

I just purchased an SDS1104X-E and had this same issue. The ~13 kHz noise began immediately upon first startup. After the device is plugged in for a while (several hours, it seems) there will be about one minute after startup where the fans, display, etc. are all running before the noise gradually begins and persists until shutdown. If I unplug the device for any period of time, this delay seems to reset and the noise will once again begin at startup.

The calibration date on mine was 2020-10-28, and my SN is in the range SDSMMFCD4R 68xx

I contacted TEquipment with an RMA request, and they received confirmation from Siglent NA that the unit is defective. I was provided with a return label to send the scope back for replacement.

Hopefully this is helpful to others experiencing this problem.
