As others have suggested Heathkit gear can be quite collectible. They may not necessarily have a great deal of monetary value but there is a dedicated community of heathkit restoration aficionados. I've had a few friends along the way that have re-purchased every piece of heathkit gear they had as part of their novice station as a teenager -- all beautifully restored and dripping with interesting stories. And then they move on to re-purchase each peice of gear they got when they upgraded their licence. It's really very interesting. With that said, I wouldn't suggest you spend more than a few dollars to pick these up if they aren't free. If you do pick them up, however, once you find the right person you'll get to hear some very interesting stories about how he or she had that exact piece of gear back in 1970 and have been meaning to pick up another one to restore. Some people collect HP test gear or Tek scope -- others collect Heatkit gear. The Heathkit crowd really is a fun bunch.
