Does anyone own a Tenma 72-10495 bench supply?
« on: November 05, 2014, 11:08:21 pm »
Hi, I'm new here.
I am looking at buying a Tenma 72-10495 dual bench power supply and was wondering of anyone has one already. What i need to know is, does it have a tracking mode so one voltage control can set the output voltage of both supplies at the same time (voltage tracking).
It does seem to have Parallel and Series modes (i am unclear what these do) but how exactly do these mode work and will it give me tracking as i just described.

Thanks in advance.

These are rebadged Korad power supplies.
Try looking for Korad PSUs, they are much cheaper but identical but the printed name on the front.

If you are in parallel mode, one control will set the voltage of both PSUs, so both will be identical automatically. Without beeing in parallel mode, you will have to set the voltage of each separately.

I am not sure right now about the serial mode - i will need to try out first.

Thanks for that. That is what I was hoping for, Parallel mode (voltage tracked) sounds correct.
Sad to say the manual for this PSU has no information about these modes, not that I could find.
I will look up Korad PSUs too.
