DSO screen off-angle contrast
« on: June 16, 2017, 12:41:29 am »
My Rigol scope screen looks fine when looking from slightly above. On-axis it looks not bad. If I put on a shelf above the bench just above eye level the screen contrast and visibility is nowhere near as good. I know some simpler LCD displays have some kind of contrast adjustment that you could alter to suit the viewing angle. I wish someone would do a hack to a Rigol scope to achieve the same thing.

The simplest hack is to create a secured bracket to hold the unit tilted at the required angle for good viewing. Would probably make the controls more accessible as well.
