Title: HM305 and HM8148-2 printer
Post by: elecguillaume on April 14, 2016, 03:54:29 pm
Hi,

I am student in electronic (in France) and I have a question about Hameg equipment.

I have an hm305 oscilloscope and I want to connect it to an hm8148-2 printer, but I don't know if it is possible without interface.
The output of the HM305 is a DB-25  and the input of the printer is a 26 pin idc connector.

Maybe one of them know if it is possible?

Thank you in advance for your answer and sorry for my poor English (I work on it).

HI, i hope you're still around here.
i ve got the same HAMEG models, and they are just connectet via a straight cable
if you cant find the cable, just get the service manual and wire them up as shown there
but its important that you have the HM205-3 oherwise it will not work with the HM8148-2 printer!
for the  HM205-2 the version 1 printer should work, for the version 1 of the scope im not sure.
but after all it can be quite difficult to get a matching pair due to various other variations.
