Portable & programmable multimeter or scope for devices testing

Hello Mates,

situation: guys in the assembly line or field repair need a simple and dumb proof method for testing some parts like: switches, pots and pressure sensors.

Of course, just grab any multimeter and you are good, who can't read ohms and volts, right?  Well, no this folks, must be dumb proof. 

Sooo, does any know any portable and programmable equipment, similiar to a multimeter (lets say, the same range of functions as a Fluke 79) but with some programming capability, around $200?

Industrial grade would be nice, like a PLC+HMI.
