Agilent E4406A 100MHz span - how?
« on: August 04, 2016, 04:01:59 pm »
I have an E4406A with option BAF (W-CDMA) installed.

When I select span and enter any span larger than 10MHz I get an error message saying:

"Data out of range value clipped to upper limit"

and the span stays the same at 10MHz.

I would say it works as advertised, it is specified as max. 10MHz span. It is a VSA not a SA.

Not quite right. The W-CDMA option increases the standard max span from 10MHz to 100MHz, but only in W-CDMA mode, and only for specific measurements (can't remember which ones, and am too lazy to check).

You choose baf mode-next intermodulation.
