HP 16500B with 16533A/34A

Forum user "helium" was so nice to post a link to a compatibility matrix for 16500x analyzers..and which card would work...

The list tells, that only the 16532A DSO card would work in a 16500B, but not the higher 16533A or 16534A...

Interestingly this guy tells otherwise:

Not sure if the triggering problems is the course for not being listed as compatible...but one comment states that such triggering problem also occurs on a 16702A.

The 16534a works fine with the 16500b. At least if the board is working.  I have one in my 16500b.

Watch for nvram battery end of life on those.  All of the calibration info is stored  in it.  If you change out the nvram, a selfcal will put everything right.

I got one of these cheap because of that failure.
