HP 3466A restoration - DPDT switches

SeanB:
Very nice!  I do like old test gear, have got an Advance signal generator to test and repair for the holidays. New mains cable required, and it will be getting recapped where needed.
AMR Labs:
I am looking for the handle/bail stand for the HP3466A (also same for HP3468A).
HP PN 5040-8058. Ideally new, but used would be fine as well, as long as it is in one piece.

If you do have one for sale, please contact me direct via PM/private message.
Thank you.
strawberry:
removed bad 34401A switch shaft and cleaned old grease and applied new silicone grease
so far it works as new
RaymondMack:
I just cleaned some similar switches in an HP power supply. It's a real pain in the ass to dissasemble and reassemble, but it *is* possible to do... just not very enjoyable.

I should point out that the two white switches were replaced with two black ones that would fully dissassemble. Apparently, at some point, these type of switches were made to not dissasemble any further than shown in the third to last photo. But I had some older parts that otherwise looked identical and were able to be fully dissasembled and cleaned. If you encounter the newer switches, then you'll just have to settle with ultrasonicating them in some solvant that hopefully removes silver sulfides before relubricating the contacts and plastics with an electronics grade dielectric grease.
