HP 54835A scope Calibration failure.
« on: January 22, 2024, 02:15:18 pm »
Hi guys, having an issue with an HP 54835A scope.
The HDD had failed and the back light was very dim.

Replaced the drive with a preformatted image of a later version.
Replaced both backlights.

Scope seems to be working well, all 4 channels are fine.
I can input an AC  signal and it displays as I would expect.

It passes all the self tests.

But will not pass the calibration tests.

I am using a 30cm cable for the tests.

Measured the DC output voltage from the aux port. It reads apx 800mv. Never changes even during the cal test.  Even when changing the level -2.5 to +2.5 just stays at + .8v
Any advice appreciated.
