HP 8642A power consumption exactly ? anyone
« on: July 06, 2023, 01:15:52 pm »
I got a defective HP8642A
one or more modules use too much power in +5V and +15V
so it overload the power supply and shut down the psu

it would be very helpfull if anyone got exactly the same unit and could reveal the exact power consumption
230V mode for a working unit, this way i can unplug power to one module at a time
and this way estimate what module may be the problem.

did anyone measure the normal current usage in all power rails ?
it is easy to access current shunts and measure dc drop on them,
