HP 8752C A3 source parts identification help needed
« on: April 24, 2014, 12:09:05 pm »
Hi all,
I'm in the proces of debugging the signal source of my vna and I need some help on identifying two zener diodes. The diodes have the following codes on them:
1) 106 25K 507
2) 685 35K 451
I was able to retrieve the zener voltage of the first diode because there are more of them on the same board. It's a 22V zener. I'm unable to retrieve the value of the second one. There seems to be no logic in the coding. Can anybody help me out? I've attached a picture the two diodes are the ones with the black marker dots on them.

They are not diodes, they are tantalum capacitors. The band is on the positive terminal.
1) 106 = 10 with 6 zeros behind = 10 000 000 pF = 10uF, 25V. K is the tolerance.
2) 685 = 68 with 5 zeros behind =  6 800 000 pF = 6.8uF, 35V.

Are you sure they're diodes? They look like tantalum caps to me.
