Hi,
my name is Simon and I'm obsessed by (HP) dynamic signal analyzers.
Anyone interesed in the subject? Repairing, software options activation, hack, schematic diagrams, etc. ?
You can contact me using this forum or personally (simone dot mannori at gmail dot com).
Happy hacking :-)

I used a 3563a at work for a number of years. In my home lab I have had a 3582a and a 3561a. Today I own an Advantest R9211C and an HP 3560a. The HPs are great, but tend to be big and bulky and much higher cost than some others.

I have a 3567A system and really like the flexibility.

I picked up a HP 35665A a few weeks ago and it seems to work and has a LOT of options in it including HP Instrument Basic but I haven't time to learn it yet.
I need to find some real manuals for it. I hate trying to run back and forth between TE and a computer to look at PDFs.

There are a few topics here and there on those machines.
It's possible to update the 35665A with any remaining software options:

That's on my To Do list. I was lucky in that mine came with all or nearly all of the hardware options such as the full memory and the I BASIC controller so if I enabled all of the SW options it would be LOADED. But these are complex enough that it looks like it's going to be a chore to learn how to use all of the features.

I have a 3561A. Don't use it much at all anymore since Software and PC's. I do mostly audio work. It is a site to behold, construction wise. They the the tip top talent back then. I really should sell it and let someone else play
