Fluke 28ii vs 87v Max

No doubt this has been asked by now but I couldn't find any real information on it so figured I would ask. Aside from the 1m increase in drop distance what are the real differences in these two meters. I've noticed in the Fluke literature it says the 28ii can withstand 8000 volt spikes whereas there is no mention of this for the 87v max... is this to say the 28ii is more of an Industrial meter? Just curious if anyone has any real insight into whether the 28ii is being phased out in favour of the 87v max.

Dunno what you are doing but pressing the search link (between Help and Profile) and entering in the text "28II 87V" to the basic search box worked fine. Many many relevant results come up easily. Possibly you are following the thread/board search buttons rather than the site wide search?

The CAT rating is printed on the front of both meters.

Did search but never found the answer to the question I was asking. Fortunately someone gave me a very clear answer which truthfully I should have known  ( funny how answers can be right in front of you the whole time but you still never see them until someone points it out )
