| HP8161A repair part 2 |
| (1/1) |
| fisafisa:
Hi. I had bought a 8161A in bad shape as a fun project to learn more about old HP hardware. After some work I did manage to repair it and then it found his place in the collection of test equipment that get used quite rarely. Recently I tested it again and found out that the keyboard was completely stuck. No response. After a bit of digging into the SW I am now suspecting that the EPROM has begun degrading and the code inside is not anymore valid. Anybody with one such equipment willing to dump the EPROM code ? Maybe a 8160A would somewhat compatible. The EPROM is on a socket, so it is quite easy to pull it and dump the code. Cheers Filippo |
