Title: HP8569B reset the instrument?

So my HP8569B has a tendency to be a bit cold backed...if it hasn't been used for a while the display gets filled with garbage characters (the trace is fine). Is there a way to force a hard reset of the instrument? The clear/reset button only clears the trace and restarts it. Normally this problem clears up after letting the thing warm for a while but right not it doesn't appear to be getting better.
