I sometimes need to measure gain and NF on RF pre-amps but don't have or have access to a proper NF meter
Apparently my hp8591 can take option 119 which is a card for NF measurements plus you obviously need a NF generating head and some other bits and bobs, which I have found here and there at affordable prices compared to a used complete NF meter
My question is, should i buy the 119 card do I just slot it in the SA and the firmware in the SA will "find" it and add the option, as in is it that simple or would there need to be a f/w upgrade/eeprom change ect ?
