I've just got an HP 66311B power supply. I did some cleaning and basic functions seems to working OK except the rotary encoder. I can enter the values on the keyboard (and for most applications that should suffice) but I am thinking of installing bannana jacks on the front. That would be also good time to replace the encoder.
I have to buy power connector on the back and that would be good opportunity to order the encoder too.
Has anyone changed rotary encoder on an HP/Agilent 66311B Power Supply? What replacement part have you used?

If it's the same as my 66332A, a Bourns PEC16 series. You can choose if you want detents or smooth turn (I think smooth is better). Also, if yours still works but is "wobbly" you may be able to bend the metal clamps back and fix it without replacement.

Don't bother with the encoder. Using the keypad to enter settings is much quicker.
