Well more warm thoughts from here :)

I signed up for Signal Path patron this week despite being "bunged" down with VAT on top - your videos are the most informative out there for me at least.

Anyway - you should maybe consider doing what Dave does - most gear is given away in lottery on the forum or YouTube commenters - others only to supporters. Every draw is random for the people who sign up. And I was actually surprised of how many good guys who are here - if you look at the "meager" participation in the recent Keysight 1000x draw - it was because a lot already had enough scope(s) and left the people who really needed it participate (i think and hope )

Btw if you receive some probes from Langer EMV :) it might be because I pushed your channel on them as they do some pretty nifty RF probes - I think you will like their logo. If you have not received any - PM me your details and I'll forward it to their head marketing honcho.

Love your videos, mate. Given the amount of effort you put in, you obviously do too.

I have no idea why you feel generous enough to give your toys away, but it is a very kind thing to do.

As for questions:
Everyone likes to hear about a good cock-up. Got any classics you'd care to relate?
How about favourite personal projects over the years? Most challenging? Most satisfying?

Shahriar:

In addition to all of the other facts about how awesome (I'm not sure if it got buried in the noise) you are which I stated over there, you're also the most handsome of the electronics video bloggers. There, I said it! :scared: Dave, you have been dethroned for years. Plus, Dave, you made the mistake of marrying way up you beautiful bastard. You can't do that! The men will be distracted and the women will be jealous.

If only test equipment was more popular with the better half of this dirt-rock's population you'd be drowning in suitors.

Keep doing what you're doing Shahriar. You bring something to the table that literally nobody else on Earth does, and we love you for it.

Also, tell your brother to get back in front of the camera and do some more cold opens.

Piling on with kudos, Shahriar, for all the videos that you create for us all. Don't let the detractors get you down!

I'd like to add my thanks as well. If there was no Signal Path, we'd all be poorer for it. There is nothing else that comes within a country mile of the stuff you cover.  Your effort in setting up interesting experiments is so appreciated.

I have also given away some test gear on this forum and it's interesting some of the PMs I get. Some quite angry. I ignore them and I hope you can as well.

Hi Shahriar, another fan of your videos here. Please do not allow youtube comment vitriol to upset you. For every one hater, there are ten of us here who love your videos. Looking forward to some more of your long, detailed videos!

"Some quite angry" - what right did they have to be angry?  :wtf:

If you want to donate/give away some gear to others more needy isn't that your business? (Note that I know nothing of the details of that giveaway) :-//

Shahriar

I enjoy your videos (even though most of the technical details go way over my head).

I find them very interesting and well presented and do pick up on some technical stuff despite being a relative 'newbie'! :-+
Reviving my old hobby after retiring! Know so little...only one thing to do...watch Dave's videos and keep reading the forum! ;-)

Lol I dunno , I guess some people can't cope seeing someone else get something that they don't. Some strange sense of entitlement I guess.

Geez, hearing that "people" are calling you greedy for offering stuff for free just makes me go :palm:  What's up with that?
Your videos are sometimes a bit (quite a bit actually) over my head but I watch them end to end never the less as there's just NO comparison and the Patreon donations are money well spent if it helps you going. (And no, I'm not in the US so I can't participate in the give away but I'm happy for the ones who can).

Thank you!

I LOVE THE LOGO! :)

It would be very interesting to play around with them. Please feel free to let them know.

Cheers!

Shahriar,

Just to add my thanks for a really interesting series of videos, I much appreciate the hard work you put in.

While free test gear would always be welcome to feed the TEA habit ;), what I could really do with is some of your free time! How on earth do you manage it?

Just wanted to say I really like your videos! I really like the longer more indepth videos, they are really interresting. What I like to is the diversity in gear. Keep them going!
