SPD3303X-E
« on: April 28, 2023, 02:31:08 am »
There does not seem to be a general thread on these power supplies, so I thought I'd start one with a generic enough title to serve as such.

That said, I do have a question.

I know you can series the two main supplies in this unit to get 64V.  My question is, can you then manually series the auxiliary supply to get a total of 69V @ 3.2A?

No, the 3rd channel is not galvanically isolated, it is derived from the 2nd channel.

You seem to confuse this with Rigol or something.

On the Siglent SPD3303X/X-E, all three power sources are independent and galvanically isolated.

So the final answer is: yes, we can!

And with a fresh reply from Siglent this picture is proof, admittedly it is a SPD3303C with wired series connections however it clearly shows the 3rd channel with a 5V setting used in the series chain.

On the Siglent SPD3303X/X-E, all three power sources are independent and galvanically isolated.
Indeed, Rigol has a fully adjustable third channel that's not isolated from channel 2, while Siglent has an extremely limited third channel that's fully isolated.

Yet, multiple SPD3000X/X-E models can be series'ed together to a max of 500V above mains ground.

Done it myself to 120VDC after confirmation from Siglent it is an design feature and accepted practice.

Hmmm,

Is there a way to get EasyPower to remember your device?

I guess not.  A bit annoying.
