+/- 12V PSU for Keysight N2782B current probe (solved)
« on: October 29, 2017, 05:14:55 pm »
For a Keysight N2782B current probe that I bought without a power supply, I need a +12V / -12V power supply.
I am looking for alternatives to the original Keysight N2779A PSU, which cost is about Euro 1300 in Germany.

I want to build my own 230V power supply for this current probe but I don't want to do it from scratch.
The specs are (Based on the N2779A Datasheet):
  +/- 12V
   2.5 A max

Does anyone here have a suggestion, of what kind of power supply I could buy that has good dual output +/- 12V?

You wont need 2.5A for that probe, 250mA per rail is sufficient.

OK, after looking around for a while, I found a suitable PSU by Traco Power
+/- 12V at 1A per channel, medical quality.
This should work great.
I will post some pictures, when I get it.
