...just had a pre-notification from the Royal Mail, customs duty will likely be added to the scope.

The duty rate is 0.00% for importing an oscilloscope, of course separate VAT charges still apply, if the seller didn't add the HS code to the custom label, you tend to get charged duty as well.

...ah, that's why I didn't get taxed - wasn't sure if it was the usual cock-up. The only time have paid on TE I think was my DE5000 LCR from Japan.
